Tobias, yes there is a story behind it. Not mine by any means. The town I live in is going through significant changes in investment, and pieces of that include tearing relics (heritage) to construct a new beginning. This shot while very focused on a small piece comes from one of those buildings. The building had been a factory called Little Folks in front of a river in a small town/village that’s a major tourist attraction in Ontario (Elora). The company developing the project envisions a lively and vibrant community hub, naturally for profit. The factory has laid barren for ten+ years now with no roof. This was an exterior wall, quite clearly wasn’t by how that brick outline still remains. I suppose my choice of title, ‘Pulse’ is a question, surrounding character/permanence/progress and where those intersect.
